Super Easy Ice Cream Sandwich Cake Recipe

Enjoy this wonderful and super easy ice cream sandwich recipe during those summer days. Easy to make, and delicious melt in your mouth goodness.


Ingredients:
7 ice cream sandwiches (I used the Blue Bunny brand)
8oz. Cool Whip or whip cream equivalent
one candy bar, chopped (I used Twix)
hot fudge to drizzle
How to make a cake with ice cream sandwiches Hip2SaveDirections: Line a loaf pan with wax paper. Fit one layer of ice cream sandwiches on the bottom (if you use the Blue Bunny brand, the length fits perfectly in a loaf pan and you’ll just have to cut one of the sandwiches in half). Spread half the Cool Whip on top of the sandwiches followed by another layer of ice cream sandwiches and the rest of cool whip. Then sprinkle the chopped candy bar on top (or chocolate chips would work too!). Freeze for at least two hours and up to a week. To serve, pull up on the wax paper – the cake should come right out. Place on a cake plate. Before serving, drizzle with chocolate fudge if desired. Serves about 6-8.

Ingredients 1 (13 ounce) container of Nutella 2 1/2 cups 2% milk 1/3 cup granulated sugar 1/4 cup corn starch 3 egg yolks 2 tablespoons butter For the Topping Whipped Cream, store-bought or homemade Grated dark chocolate Instructions Transfer the Nutella from the container to a large mixing bowl using a spatula. Add about 1 cup of the milk to the Nutella and stir to combine. Once smooth, add more milk and continue stirring. Add the rest of the milk and give it a last stir.
